Topper hasn't swallowed any major items in his second year and we are very thankful, although they miss him at the Animal Medical Center. In his early life, he was devoted to eating nonfood, but now his tastes have matured some.
I had first photographed him as a young young puppy in June, 2012. He was sweet and very photogenic and best of all, Flo adored him.
Brian and Beth Meany, his breeders, said yes and a plan was set to pick him up at Bowdoin College, where my exhibition Hello Nature would be opening. On May 14, 2012, when he was 8 weeks old, we did.. I had lots of social hubbub, to deal with so Topper was passed around to gaggles of students and dog friendly visitors and assigned helpers. It was a great beginning for the Top…he loves students and people of all ages.
After the show, we brought him up to Rangeley.
See the NYTimes video of WW in Maine with Topper here.
He has become my go-to puppy this year. An enthusiastic and proud poser, he is wonderful to work with. He is strikingly handsome, luminous, and vibrant. Outgoing and sweet.
He has accompanied me on several road trips, recently meeting students at Exeter. He's also joined me at The Children's Museum of Art, Aperture, Books of Wonder, and Anthropologie.
Something we need to work on…dragging me down the sidewalk on our frequent walks.

My weim, Roxanne, turns two this month as well and could also use some better leash manners herself. It's a great age because they are still a pup but you can now start seeing some hints of maturity poking through.... Sometimes.... Happy birthday!

Hi William
I am an architect and new Virginia and was
lucky enough to have the pick of one of her
litters. I have had weims since 1983 and just
lost my last one in November. Do you have any
contacts with the Reiteralm kennel lines?
I am looking for a pup.
